Israeli actor and political activist Juliano Mer-Khamis, 52, was shot dead on Monday outside a theater which he founded in a refugee camp in the West Bank city of Jenin.

Six videos created by Israeli artists were among the 125 chosen as finalists in the Guggenheim Museum's YouTube Play contest.
Israel has the third most finalists in the contest, behind only the United States and England. The 125 finalists were culled from more than 23,000 entries from 91 countries.
A panel of judges will select 20 videos to be displayed in a gallery at the Guggenheim Museum in New York from October 22-24. The 20 winning videos will be announced October 21 at an event at the Guggenheim.
